I could not disagree more. That's a part of his character. Also, Simon Baker will never not be hot in that suit. ;]

no i don't think so at least not for the main part although i think it is getting a bit boring mabey he needs to go undercover more so he has to wear somthing different also it does make you wonder if he ever wears anything else and i really want to know why he wears it all the time

sorry but i do not agree. Jane's hair, his car, that suit, that couch is all part of his character and has been since 2008 with season 1. A lot of fans including myself would be disappointed to see any of that change because we have come to associate it all with Patrick Jane. :)

I´ve come to think of it a bit like his armor or uniform. Somehow I am pretty sure that, should the writers ever allow the character some degree of happiness, e.g. once he has caught Red John, we might get to see him in jeans and t-shirt.

Me, personally, I think that the suits are somewhat of a metaphor. In the earlier seasons he wore the differnt, lighter-coloured suits which have slowly all been replaced with the single, dark-coloured suit. It could be somewhat representative of his mind, as his personality has gotten darker and, I would argue, more singly focused on catching Red John. After all, he didn't start sleepig in the CBI attic until season 3, and that's when the light suits started to disappear. I realise that I'm really pushig credibility here, it's just what I think.

wow! you really like analyse the show i can't say i ever noticed (well i see it obviouslly now) i agree that hes more focused on catching red john and his personallity has kind of changed so it really makes sense that his wardrobe changes but only subtly as the suit is basically part of the character.

It's what happens when you're life revolves around 45 minute glimpses into an alternate reality that both terrifies and thrills you, breaks your heart and yet is so gloriously beautiful and sad that you can't walk away... Or in other words, when you're an uber geek fangirl!Back to subject: I would love to start seeing Jane in his earlier suits again, if that meant that the Happier Jane was returning to us!
