OMG, I'm so thrilled! I can't wait to see that. I'm perfectly sure the new boss's gonna be my next Most Hated Tvshow Persona. The dancing scene was too good; they had to put some obstacle along the way. How do you think Jane will react? I bet on ligthly flirting, in order to upset Lisbon. I forsee lot of anger and bad words between Jane and Lisbon. What 'bout you? Do you find this valuable?

Heyy I totally agree, I just hope she wears her hair really curly instead of the other pics I saw of her with her hair nearly pined back off her face, It looked really severe 2 b honest! I dont think the mentaalist is actually able to bring a good character into the show that ppl might actually lyk...cause we all know what happened with bosco and his team! Y`know youre right they couldnt of just lead us to believe that just because their dancing scene was so great, that they`d put them together so fast, they would have to put something in...maybe a mix of lot of "anger and bad words " like you said anaitis but I know being a total Jisbon fan that we wish for them to get together but I just dont see it happening if the new boss is there! I do have hope for those guys tho...I have a tiny hint of a feeling that the new boss knows red john or knew someone close to jane a few years back! Whatcha think? Do you find this valuable?

I dunno, but I suppose the flirting will beging quite shortly after the first apparition of the character, as Robin Tunney told us about it already. So there is only two possibility: either she is flirting already while she absolutly don't know him (I would absolutly imagine a scenery when Jane just got out of her office after their first meeting, Lisbon staying in the back, and the new boss telling her "BTW, he's a hottie". I can already see the look on Lisbon'face), which would tag her in the "bad / irresponsible boss"persona; or she may know him from before. She could be a particulary good cop : that would be more fun. She could have known him from the time he help the CBI while his wife was alive, she could have worked with him. I don't see him knowing her any other way: he doesn't seems to me the kind to have relatives, or ex-girlfriends, in police work. But maybe she could have known someon he knew. I don't know about red John : that would be a bit too big if she was on his side, dont you think?
While being totaly on the jisbon thing too, I do realize that they are not going to make out while the boss is flirting with Jane. In fact, they are not going to make out in this saison, and probably not in the next either, they have still too much issues to work on.
About the "anger an bad world" I don't know if I expressed myself correctly (after all, I'm french, english is just a second language so sorry for the mistakes). I meant that there will probably be a scene were Jane will push up on the flirty thing to make lisbon react, and she will brutally deny, he may became more upset than he thought and say something bad, and there goes the anger and bad words...
BTW, Robin Tunney said there will be character developping on Lisbon : that seems good! Do you find this valuable?

I hope it's just the casual flirting, nothing serious because that woman is MARRIED and has children (I read that in another press release). Seem totally inapprobiate to me if she goes all "Oh he's such a hottie".
But yeay for more Lisbon background information! Do you find this valuable?

It'll be good to see more on Lisbon,s character......

& if anyone watched the x-files, mulder and scully, flirted a tad, much like jisbon and eventually( seasons 7-9) and was done very subltly, got together.. it wasn,t in oyur face either and it went great with the show.. hopefully Bruno Heller will take a leaf out of that book cos if he did? then that would make me happy.....take it very very slow........ Do you find this valuable?

I think that to preserve a long run for the show, the writers will safeguard Lisbon's and Jane's relationship by giving them other romantic interests. Okay. But how about Lisbon? She mourns for Bosco, but how about something new and requited? I like the idea of an actor like Tom Everett Scott playing a romantic interest from Lisbon's high school years--maybe a lifelong friend of one of Lisbon's brothers, then we could meet some of Lisbon's family, too. A former boyfriend, someone who could have been "the one," who now resides in California. Like Jane said in an earlier episode, the instincts a person has in high school remain in tact throughout their life. So let's see Lisbon through they eyes of people who knew her then. And her character deserves more development, and more of a life than memories and being "all about the job." Why should she be left just watching while Jane has a love interest? Do you find this valuable?

WHY MUST THE GOOD DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (talking about Minelli) I don't want this new boss to flirt with Jane. I swear the the Heavens if she does I will take a plane to the set, have my chainsaw handy and make the the newest Leatherface movie... if you know what I mean. And she is gonna have power over Lisbon too. So she can get AWAY with this. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Minelli, I miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what happens when you take Minelli for granted. -.-

Heh heh, no worries, I was like the same way. But maybe the new boss flirting with Jane will make Lisbon realize (or begin to) that she likes him just a bit more than just a friend and colleague... we can only hope! Do you find this valuable?

Just watched Redline and loved the character Walter Mashburn (actor Currie Graham)! I hope the writers bring Mashburn back to spark additional dramatic tension in the show. As a possible love interest for Lisbon? Lisbon described Mashburn as a pirate. Graham brought energy and charm to the part. And, Mashburn was a great foil for Jane. Do you find this valuable?

I just know I'm going to hate the new boss. I really liked Minnelli. It's so sad he just left the show like that. He made me laugh. Well, I don't think Jane will intentionally flirt with the new boss. At least I hope not. I think the boss is going to hate Lisbon though. Not because of jealousy necessarily, but probably because of what Jane does to solve cases. Lisbon will probably get in trouble for vouching for Jane constantly. Poor Lisbon. She'll be under a lot of stress. Do you find this valuable?

I agree! Minelli's departure is a great loss to the show. Do you think that Mashburn (from episode Redline), through guest appearances, could spice up Lisbon's life. The man has power and money--and loads of charm. Mainly, I hate to see Lisbon reduced consistently to taking the heat for other's transgressions but never having fun herself. The writers risk turning a lovable, passionate character into an unhappy shrew. Lisbon and Jane have a comfortable relationship, but its comraderie not chemistry, although others may disagree. Sexually, it's as if they are trying to light a wet match--too much damage from Red John, etc. Sometimes its like Lisbon is much more attracted to Jane than he is to her. How to turn comraderie into passion? I think some strong competition is the answer. What do you think? Do you find this valuable?

I don't think Lisbon would date him. She made it clear that she doesn't care about rich guys like him, though yes- she seemed tempted. But she will always put the job first.
Jane's and Lisbon's relationship develops slowly but they've made a huge progress since season 1. character wise. You can't expect them to suddenly leer at each other.
You certainly can't deny that there's chemistry between those too (even if it is not romantical for now). 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
