I have watched this episode over & over many times. But my seven year old son noticed something that I had never noticed before. When Jane is questioning Rebecca there is a scene that shows someone standing behind the window with blinds behind Rebecca. It only shows the person's sillouette. It is just after Rebecca says that she loves Red John and Red John loves her. She says she will never betray that trust. And then Jane says, "One day." She goes on to say that she loves all kinds of music, especially country, that she has a cat named Rex, and she collects porcelain frogs. I think the person watching them from behind the window is Red John!!

I thought, at first, the person was just one of the security guards that comes to take her away when Jane is finished with the questioning. But, there is a scene of all the people listening in on the questioning from behind the one way glass with the team, and the security guards are there listening in. This is someone else.

I think that this is Red John and he came in the CBI building when Rebecca brought in the coffee. In the surveillance video, there is a person behind her on the stairs that has their hood on their head. This person's face is concealed. I think Rebecca knows that Red John is there. Perhaps he told her that he would get her out of custody after the murders, should something go wrong. I think that when Rebecca smiles so big when being escorted, she sees Red John walking towards her. I think Red John was monitoring her to know when to meet her in the hall downstairs.
