Hi everyone! I created this thread so we can comment about the spoilers for the upcoming season 3. In the Spoilers section we can upload the information and we can give our opinion about right here. So let's star cause we have our very first spoiler for season 3!
We have a name: Red Sky at Night wich gives me the idea that they are really going to continue the story of season 2 finale. And they're also looking for a new character! I can't wait for more bits of info.

Not an enormous spoiler, mainly because I'm sure we all saw this coming anyway, but if you don't want to know anything about what's going to happen, DO NOT READ THIS. That said, if you're still here... I was curious to know your thoughts on this. According to the link I've left for you guys below, "we'll finally get our first glimpse of [Red John] in the two-hour season finale when a CBI mole is revealed and Patrick comes face-to-face with Red John for the first time."
Now I know I'm not the only one thinking, 'wait, didn't this happen already?' :P My thoughts: a) the masked man last year really wasn't RJ, b) the masked man may or may not have been RJ but now we're going to see his actual face, or c) this spoiler is pulling a season-two on us and we're going to see a blur of RJ. It has been confirmed that Van Pelt and Rigsby will in fact hook up in season two. It's supposed to occur around the 6th episode. Now, I love them and all (I think they're ADORABLE), but come on... this early?? Is that such a good idea? It'll only be the 29th episode by then... all in all though, I guess I'm happy for them. But I was kinda hoping that their relationship would drag on a wee little bit longer before they hooked up. After all, the first (and only) time they've kissed was in the 19th episode... and Rigsby was hypnotized. I don't know... but I guess we'll just have to wait and find out what happens.

Patrick Jane should have a field day reading this guy: Former Oz actor Terry Kinney is joining The Mentalist as an ex of Lisbon's(Robin Tunney) and a major player in Red John investigation, sources confirm to me semi-exclusively. Kinney , who recently starred in ABC's short-lived cop dramedy The Unusuals, will play the recurring role of Sam Bosco, a by-the-book California Bureau of Investigations agent who heads up the division overseeing the Red John case. Bosco served as Lisbon's mentor as she was coming up through the ranks, during which they shtupped once or twice (or a lot). Further complicating matters: The two share a deep, dark secret! Bosco is also one of the few people immune to P.J.'s charms. He hates his unorthodox methods and is determined to oust him from the CBI. Good times all around! Kinney's deal calls for him to appear in at least seven episodes. The Mentalist kicks off its second season (its first in its new Thursday time slot) on Sept. 24.

On the season premier of season two, we shall see a ridiculously frustrated Jane (Simon Baker) and a ridiculously frustrated Lisbon, )Robbin Tunney). It shows on the make-up. Are they trying to be Goth? Pin the blame on Minelli (Gregory Itzen), who decides to hand on the Red John Case to a new team headed by Sam Bosco , also known as new (recurring) team member (Terry Kinney.) I guess, since Bosco's more, uhm, straightforward than Jane will ever be. He's probably explaining just and that Jane's only response: "Really now?" The Mentalist's second season premiere airing September 24. |

I've been a lurker for a while now, but when I stumbled on the following blogpost today I couldn't help myself ;o)) So beware, possilbe spoilers ahead: From the Ausiello Files (which is a post on spoiler fors a lot of TV shows, for link see below) Question: Are we ever going to find out who Red John is on The Mentalist? --Thaddeus Ausiello: Yes, but first PJ is going to need some help. Enter California Bureau of Investigation Agent Sam Glenn. The new recurring character, currently being cast, heads up the division handling the Red John investigation and is apparently the one person who doesn't get seduced by Simon Baker's pretty face. The Mentalist is returning with a new episode on March 17!!!!! In the meantime, let's hope scoop on the show from star Amanda Righetti - who plays Grace Van Pelt - will hold over anxious fans. "They are planning to play a lot with the budding relationship between Grace and Wayne. But it is always two steps forward and four steps back in terms of my character’s love life," the actress told Entertainment Weekly. As for Patrick Jane? Righetti said: "One episode that we recently shot has a case where he is temporarily blind. That was a lot of fun to shoot. Without giving away too much, Simon [Baker] plays it to the hilt." |
